REAL ID
**Correction: Military IDs are
acceptable
forms for REAL ID.**
Starting in October 2020, your driver’s license will have to have the “REAL ID” seal in the top right corner. Your present license remains valid until its expired date, however, after October, you will not be able to use it for air travel.
If you are getting a REAL ID but your license is not up for renewal, it’s an $8 fee. If your license is up for renewal, you will pay the regular renewal fee of $15.
And,
NDDOT Drivers License Division Director, Brad Schaffer, encourages you to make an appointment to expedite the process. Visit

Temporary driver’s license office open in Fargo
The North Dakota Driver’s License office in Fargo has began operating from a temporary location at Village West Mall at 4101 13th Avenue. A major renovation is taking place at the permanent drives license office on 38th avenue that could take a year.
The changes are expected to improve customer services at the Fargo office and come in response to long delays and complaints from the public, caused mainly by the rush of people seeking their Real I.D. driver’s license.
