Collin Forthun (West Fargo police/Cass County Jail)
WEST FARGO (KFGO) – West Fargo police say a man was arrested after officers attempted to stop a vehicle near the 600 block of 15th Avenue E. for a traffic violation early Tuesday morning.
Police say the driver, Collin Forthun, 30, with no permanent address, fled and a pursuit was initiated. He went eastbound, where a pursuit intervention technique (PIT) was successfully executed in the 1400 block of 16th Avenue E. After the PIT was executed, the suspect vehicle spun out and struck a nearby tree stump.
Forthun was arrested for felony fleeing a peace officer, felony reckless endangerment and multiple outstanding felony warrants.
The passenger, Johnna Alberta Abrahamson, 30, of from Fargo was arrested for possession of fentanyl, possession of drug paraphernalia and multiple outstanding felony warrants.
Forthun and Abrahamson were transported to a Fargo hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Forthun was booked into the Cass County Jail after being cleared by hospital staff. The vehicle was impounded.
