(Reuters) – U.S. drugmaker Eli Lilly and Co said on Tuesday it would stop exporting non-essential medicines to Russia and no longer start new clinical studies in the country.
The company said its Russian operations are now only focused on selling its medicines to people suffering from diseases such as cancer and diabetes.
Pfizer Inc and Bayer said on Monday they would maintain humanitarian supply of medicines to Russia, but would pull back from other non-essential spending in the country.
