WILLOW RIVER, Minn. – A massive explosion involving a natural gas pipeline sparked two large fires in northern Minnesota Friday afternoon.
It happened near Willow River, about 50 miles southwest of Duluth. The Pine County Sheriff’s Office says it was inundated with 911 calls at about 1:45.
Several fire departments, EMS and law enforcement were dispatched. There have been no reports of injuries.
