PARIS, July 10 (Reuters) – French Sports Minister Marina Ferracci said on Friday that 131 people had died in the country from drowning since June 19 when a heatwave sent temperatures soaring across Europe.
• Last week, French Health Minister Stephanie Rist said there were 2,025 excess deaths recorded in France during the June heatwave, with a particular increase in deaths among people aged over 45.
