RAPID CITY, S.D. (KFGO) — A Pine Ridge, South Dakota man will spend an additional 3-and-a-half years in federal prison for threatening to kill US marshals.
The US Attorney’s office in Rapid City says Franklin Long Black Cat was at the federal courthouse for another case last November when he spat in one marshal’s face and threatened to shoot two other officers.
Long Black Cat was convicted of stabbing another person on the Pine Ridge Reservation in 2024. He has a long criminal history, including a 2016 conviction of assaulting an officer.
