WEST FARGO (KFGO) — A West Fargo man is charged with sexually abusing two boys for years.
A West Fargo Police report says officers were contacted May 27 about suspected sexual abuse involving 48-year-old Shawn Gould.
Two victims were identified. A 16-year-old victim told investigators the abuse started when he was between 3 and 5 years old. The other victim, who is now 19, told police Gould abused him starting when he was 11.
Police arranged to interview Gould June 5. When he did not show up, police drove by his house and saw he was not there. They used Flock cameras and surveillance cameras to see he had bought a shotgun and shells at Scheels.
Eventually, Gould arrived at the police station. He was interviewed and arrested. The shotgun and ammo was seized as evidence.
Gould is facing two AA felony charges of gross sexual imposition. If convicted, each charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole.
