With help from Otter Tail County boat and water deputies, an out-of-state couple was found to be over their crappie limit by 25. Various violations were encountered throughout the week. On multiple occasions, she has come across violations when anglers have used “artificial intelligence” to look up a regulation. She reminds people to use a reliable source such as the online version of the Minnesota Fishing Regulation booklet. Using inaccurate information from artificial intelligence or Google summarizations is not an excuse to violate law.

CO Emily Douvier (Morris) reports working fishing and recreational enforcement. Enforcement action was taken for fishing without a license and various questions were answered from the public.
