ST. PAUL, Minn. – Two Minnesota state agencies have signed an agreement to help Minneapolis police handle violent crimes. Joint powers agreements were signed last week with the Minnesota State Patrol and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. The agreements will run through the end of the next year, although they could be terminated by either party with 30 days’ notice.
The announcement was made Wednesday, the day after federal law enforcement agencies pledged to help Minneapolis law enforcement.
