EVANSVILLE, Minn. (KFGO) — A Jamestown man has died from his injuries sustained in a crash on I-94 in in Grant County, Minnesota Sunday.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 24-year-old Koleman Lind suffered life-threatening injuries when his car collided with another car head-on in a construction zone near Evansville. He was flown by helicopter to a hospital in St. Cloud, where he died.
Lind was a graduate assistant coach at the University of Jamestown for the Women’s Basketball team where he assisted with the varsity team and led the JV team. The University says he focused on player growth and building culture. He was pursuing a master’s degree in leadership from UJ.
A 73-year-old Woodbury man driving the other vehicle died at the scene. His passenger, a 63-year-old Woodbury woman, has life-threatening injuries.
A third vehicle crashed into the others after the initial collision. The driver, a Mandan woman, was not hurt.
I-94 was completely closed while crews responded to the crash Sunday evening, and traffic was re-routed.
