How hard has the Fargo-Moorhead tourism industry been hit during the COVID-19 pandemic? There are a lot of hotels with very few guests, restaurants and bars are closed with the exception of to-go or curbside and area attractions are suffering from lack of visitors for over a month and the foreseeable future.
Charley Johnson is the President and CEO of the Fargo-Moorhead Convention and Visitors Bureau. He joins It Takes Two with Amy & JJ to talk about the economic impact that COVID-19 has brought to our doorsteps is pummeling our tourism industry. Mr. Johnson provides a grim outlook – but notes that there is still a lot of life in our state and region. Relying on the community to continue supporting the great attractions, restaurants and hotels is incredibly important to bridging the gap between mid-March 2020 and whenever we start venturing out into the world again.
