I’m a softie. It’s not a symptom of old age either. I’ve always been able to tear up at a sentimental moment, a touching story, a tragic tale or a McDonald’s commercial.
I often get a lump in my throat from sports movies. (Dad and son playing catch in Field of Dreams,) BUT, this moment-a real life moment out of a Minnesota high school is a real gem.
If the pitcher strikes out the batter, he goes to State! It just so happens the pitcher and the batter are lifelong friends. When the pitcher strikes his best friend out, he walks to the batter and consoles him before joining the celebration at the mound.
That’s a good
man
person. An example for all.
