FARGO (KFGO) – The Fargo Police Department will hold a news conference Wednesday afternoon to provide updates on an ongoing homicide investigation following the arrest of a suspect in Nebraska.
The investigation began Monday, Sept. 28, around 4:25 p.m. when officers responded to a welfare check at an apartment complex in the 1800 block of 34th Street South. After receiving no response, officers entered the unit and discovered a body. Detectives determined the victim died from homicidal violence and noted that the suspect and victim were known to each other.
Authorities identified the suspect as 42-year-old Brandon Cletus George of Fargo. Nebraska State Patrol troopers apprehended George outside Lincoln early Tuesday morning.
Fargo detectives are working to establish a timeline and determine the exact cause of death.
