It’s good news for families with critically ill children in our community:
The *NEW* Ronald McDonald House is ready to open its doors to families next week.
Today (Thursday, May 3rd, 2018), they will open the doors to the public to come and take a look at, what they call a “labor of love”. Planning for the project started over 6 years ago.

The home is located just east of the new Sanford hospital along I94
The kitchen(s) features a separate space for volunteers to come in and make meals for families staying at the house.
The families portion of the kitchen allows multiple stoves, microwaves and other amenities to make it more accessible to several families at once.
A kitchen wouldn’t be complete without a PANTRY! In this pantry, families will have locked cupboards for their belongings.
The RMHC keeps their shelves stocked with items for everyone to enjoy!
The “MAGIC ROOM” is a pretty special place that houses toys for the kids.
A playroom for kids is in “sight-line” of the kitchen and dining room. (As is a game room – not pictured)
Each floor features its own living room with furniture (for adults and children), a television and a table and chairs (for puzzles and games)…
… and each living room has an attached laundry room!
The comfortable “hotel-style” rooms all have 2 beds, a television, chair and desk area.
And, within the rooms, every family will have their own bathroom! (Another luxury not available until now!)
