When was the last time you cleaned your cell phone? No, wiping it on your shirt doesn’t count! Rebecca Larson from iCare Electronic Repair schools IT2 on the when, how and why of disinfecting your technology. Streptococcus, MRSA and E. Coli could be traveling on your phone right now.
Tip #1 – Not all wipes are made the same. Don’t scratch your screen. Choose the right packaged towelette for the job.
Tip #2 – Keep your phone out of the bathroom. You might as well be placing a call and talking into the toilet. Common sense here.
Tip #3 – That crack in your screen may be more than just a cosmetic problem. It could be harboring germs AND cleaning it could be letting liquid into your phone.
Tip #4 – Don’t use Windex. Yep, you heard that right. Windex has additives that may hurt certain parts of your phone. Use isopropyl alcohol instead.
