WEST FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – Two people were hospitalized Wednesday afternoon, including one with life-threatening injuries, after a motorcycle collided with another vehicle at a West Fargo intersection.
Officers with the West Fargo Police Department responded at approximately 2:50 p.m. to the intersection of 17th Street East and Main Avenue East following reports of a crash.
Police discovered that a motorcycle had rear-ended a vehicle. Witnesses told investigating officers that the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed and being operated recklessly prior to the impact.
Two people were riding on the motorcycle at the time of the crash, and neither was wearing a helmet, according to law enforcement.

The passenger on the motorcycle sustained significant, life-threatening injuries. The motorcycle driver suffered significant, non-life-threatening injuries. Both victims were provided emergency medical care at the scene before being transported for further treatment.
The West Fargo Fire Department, Sanford Ambulance, and the North Dakota Highway Patrol assisted West Fargo police during the initial emergency response.
Authorities have not released the names or ages of the individuals involved in the crash. The collision remains under active investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
