FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Fargo Park District Foundation is taking applications for their matching Grant Program.
The program offers to provide financial support to people and organizations that have an idea to expand recreational opportunities in the community.
The foundation first started the program back in 2019.
Projects that are approved can get a dollar for dollar match up to 50 percent of the project’s expected cost, maxing out at $20,000.
To date the program has matched over $141,000 for projects in the park system.
“Just another creative way the foundation can help the Fargo parks in our community,” said Fargo Parks Foundation Executive Director Craig Bjur. “And it’s always exciting to see people’s applications and the ideas that come from our community. Because sometimes those are the most creative ones.”
The deadline to submit a proposal is October 1. Applications can be found by clicking here.
