WASHINGTON (KFGO/KVRR) – North Dakota U.S. District Judge Dan Traynor has been confirmed by the senate to serve on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
Traynor was nominated by President Donald Trump in May. Senators John Hoeven and Kevin Cramer announced his nomination to the eighth circuit following Judge Ralph Erickson’s retirement.
Traynor served as a judge on the U.S. District Court for the District of North Dakota since 2020. He previously built a legal practice handling business litigation, election, insurance, and Indian law.
Traynor is a graduate of the University of North Dakota school of law.
