Person hospitalized after struck by car south of Fergus Falls

FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KFGO KBRF) – One person was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle on County Highway 1 south of Fergus Falls.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the driver just before 4 p.m. Wednesday. Deputies say the vehicle was heading south at about 45 mph and the pedestrian was crossing the highway. The vehicle crossed the center line, striking the pedestrian with the front passenger side of the car.

The pedestrian was initially transported to Lake Region Hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries. The sheriff’s office has not released any additional information.
