Jared Sprunk (Wright County Jail)
BUFFALO, Minn. (KFGO) – A Hennepin County Sheriff’s deputy has been placed on administrative leave after he was arrested last weekend on charges that he sexually assaulted a woman he met at a bar in Albertville northwest of the Twin Cities.
Jared Sprunk, 33, is charged with two counts of criminal sexual conduct. The woman told Wright County deputies that Sprunk, who was off-duty, sexually assaulted her in a home, despite repeatedly telling him to stop and trying to push him away.
Deputies say they found Sprunk extremely intoxicated. He was bleeding from the nose and head. Another man in the home struck Sprunk after he learned of the sexual assault.
Sprunk later told investigators that he couldn’t remember what happened.
