WILLISTON, N.D. (KFGO) – One person is dead after an officer-involved shooting in northwestern North Dakota.
The Williams County Sheriff’s Office says Monday morning around 1:30 a.m. deputies responded to a domestic disturbance involving a gun west of Williston. When they got to the scene, they encountered a person with a gun.
The deputies fired at the person and hit him in the leg and torso. The deputies gave the suspect aid until EMS arrived. He was taken to the hospital in Williston where he died.
Two other people were also taken to the hospital for injuries suffered during the domestic disturbance.
No deputies were shot.
The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation is investigating the shooting.
