DETROIT LAKES, MN (KVRR) – A man with a gun is being sought in connection with an attempted armed robbery in Detroit Lakes.
Police Chief Steve Todd says the robbery attempt happened Friday afternoon in the parking lot of Midwest Bank on Highway 10.
Todd says the victim was not injured. He says the suspect was armed with a handgun.
A search of the area surrounding the parking lot turned up no sign of the suspect.
Residents were alerted via text and phone calls that they should not approach the suspect, described as a male with a darker complexion, wearing a ski mask, gloves, and all-black clothing, with a duffle bag over his shoulder.
The suspect was last seen behind Midwest Bank and was headed south.
