WEST FARGO (KFGO) – After years of private management, the Red River Valley Fair Association is taking over Red River Valley Speedway for the next racing season.
Fair Association CEO Cody Cashman says it will mark a renewed commitment to racing in West Fargo and opens the door for new opportunities to grow the sport and enhance the fan experience. Changes will include free admission for children 12 and under, lower gate prices, more promotional days throughout the season and ongoing improvements.
The 3/8 mile track first opened in 1967. In recent years, the track was operated independent of the fair association. Regular races will continue to be held on Friday nights.
