MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO/KFGO) – Paul McCartney is returning to Minneapolis for the first time in nearly a decade. The music legend and former Beatle is coming to U.S. Bank Stadium on October 17 with his “Got Back Tour,” which was officially announced Thursday.
It’s been a while since Sir Paul has hit the Twin Cities. He played two nights at Target Center in 2016. He did one night at Target Field in 2014, and that was his first show in Minnesota going back to 2005.
McCartney, now 83-years-old, has been an extremely successful solo artist since The Beatles disbanded in 1970, when he formed his band Wings. It is sure to be one of the biggest shows ever at U.S. Bank Stadium.
McCartney performed at Fargodome on July 12, 2014 to 18,220 fans and played two encores.
