WEST FARGO (KFGO) – North Dakota law enforcement will have extra patrols out beginning Saturday for a Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.
The Department of Transportation says it’s part of the state’s vision zero strategy to eliminate fatal and serious injury crashes. In 2023, 36% of North Dakota traffic deaths were alcohol related.
“Every trip home is an opportunity to make the right choice,” West Fargo Police Chief Pete Nielsen said. “Stay sober or let a sober friend or ride-hailing service take the wheel because you’re responsible for more than just your own life when you’re on the road.”
The Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement campaign runs through the month of March.
