Former West Fargo Police Chief Denis Otterness
MINOT, N.D. (KFGO/KVRR) โ Retired West Fargo Police Chief Denis Otterness will not be headed to Minot to serve as interim police chief.
Monday night, Minot City Council voted for an alternate plan to keep the current interim chief, Capt. Dale Plessas, in that role.
The city manager had wanted to offer Otterness a six-month contract with the option to extend it while looking for a permanent police chief.
Former Minot Police Chief John Klug stepped down last month over allegations of creating a hostile work environment and sexual harassment.
The city council voted seven-zero to offer Klug a settlement agreement.
