WEST FARGO (KFGO) – A man who allegedly made threats towards Westside Elementary in West Fargo has been charged.
Court documents say 48-year-old James Arneson was biking by the school around 8 Tuesday morning when his speedometer fell off the bike. Arneson asked a staff member outside to pick it up. She would not, and Arneson told her he would get guns and shoot up the school.
Arneson rode away, and the school went into lockdown while police searched for him. The lockdown was lifted a short time later.
Officers were called back to Westside just before 6:30 Wednesday morning for a suspicious man in the bus loop. The school resource officer responded, and identified the man as Arneson. He was arrested, and has been charged with terrorizing. He is in the Cass County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
