Just in time for National Fluffernutter Day (really) here’s the latest edition of “Reader Feedback.” Often imitated, never duplicated, it’s the column dedicated to you, the readers. It tells you what readers are saying to me or about me in emails, Facebook or published comments.
About 80% of the comments are wonderful. Here are some of them.
–From John: “I like this KFGO Jim Shaw! More room for you to flex your journalistic muscle!”
–From Larry: “You bring both intelligence and passion to issues many of us haven’t thought about. Keep up your needed work!”
–From Judi: “I want you to know that I enjoy ALL your columns. You are a treasure!”
–From Scott: “So happy you are with KFGO! The best like you need to be with the best! And KFGO is the best!”
–From Ellen: “We love you and your voice, Jim! We need your voice of sanity and truth!”
–From Carrie (after my stories about the Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton School District): “Thank you for giving a voice to so many who felt they didn’t have one.”
I am very touched by those comments. Thanks so much! Now, let’s hear from readers who have a different opinion of my columns, along with my responses.
–From Ron (after my column about Interior Secretary Doug Burgum): “I can’t believe anybody listens or really cares what this guy (me) thinks!”
Dear Ron, I can’t believe you are reading my columns.

Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND)
–From North Dakota U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer: “Even Shaw knows he’s mailing it in here.”
Dear Senator Cramer, How is your support for Pete Hegseth, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Kash Patel, Doug Burgum, Donald Trump’s economic policies, and the War in Iran working out?
–From Steve: “The first mistake is believing what Jim Shaw writes.”
Dear Steve, The second mistake is denying reality.
–From Jack: “Why does this guy waste our time with his opinions?”

Dear Jack, It’s my job.
–From Gaylon: “He’s (me) the Ted Baxter of Fargo.”
Dear Gaylon, I guess that would make you Chuckles the Clown.
–From Mike: “Since he’s wrong most of the time, it doesn’t take much to be more brilliant than Shaw. Maybe, I’m not as smart as I think I am.”
Dear Mike, You’re not.
–From Bisonation ND: “Why do we let 80-year-olds write articles (not that I’m close to 80)?”
Dear Bisonation ND, Why do we let 80-year-olds run our country?
–From Kevin Wolsky (who is running for the North Dakota Legislature from the Carrington area): “I see the HACK is back at writing garbage just on a different platform! I’m very glad that he found somewhere to spout his nonsense. That way, I know exactly what he is thinking so I can do the opposite!!”
Dear Kevin, I think we should be kind to people.
Keep those comments coming, and stay tuned for the next edition of “Reader Feedback.”
