MINNEAPOLIS (KFGO/WCCO) – A debate is on the calendar in the Minnesota governor’s race, hosted by the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce.
Democratic U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar, and Republican Candidate, House Speaker Lisa Demuth, will square off in an invite-only forum on Monday, October 19.
The debate is in partnership with the Brainerd Lakes Chamber and is happening at Madden’s on Gull Lake. KSTP-TV Chief Political Reporter Tom Hauser, is moderating the debate.
The Chamber says topics will focus on Minnesota’s economic future and issues impacting local businesses. So far, this is the only debate currently scheduled, after the pre-primary forum held in August at Minnesota FarmFest.
There is no debate scheduled for the Senate showdown between Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan (DFL) and Michelle Tafoya (R).
