Road Closed
WADENA, Minn. (KFGO) – A section of Highway 10 west of Wadena was closed Friday after a semi-truck transporting cattle ran off the road and overturned, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Troopers responded to the scene at approximately 6:30 a.m. following reports of a single-vehicle rollover. First responders found a semi-truck and trailer carrying livestock flipped off the side of the highway. The driver of the vehicle escaped without injury.
Highway 10 remains closed in both directions west of Wadena as emergency personnel, towing services, and recovery crews work to clear the scene, secure the livestock, and remove the overturned rig.
Traffic in the area is being detoured, and state troopers are urging drivers heading west out of Wadena to allow for extra travel time, follow posted detour signs, or seek alternate routes throughout the day.
Officials have not yet provided an estimated time for when the highway will reopen to normal traffic. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
