BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – An agriculture teacher from Napoleon, North Dakota has been named the state’s teacher of the year. Brian Schneider was given the award today by North Dakota Governor and State Superintendent Levi Bachmeier.
Schneider says building confidence in his students is critical to his teaching philosophy, he says he has genuine interest in every student in the school. He has worked at Napoleon Public School teaching agriculture for 35 of his 40 years in public education, he teaches students grades 7-12.
Under Schneider’s leadership, the Napoleon FFA chapter has earned 150 individual and team state championships, as well as three national championships.
Schneider was named Logan County’s teacher of the year before advancing to the statewide contest.
