MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison is putting in the work to drum up as much support as he can for both his third term and the entire DFL ticket.
“What we need is someone who’s going to continue to stand up for Minnesota. That’s me,” Ellison said.
“I am very positive about the future of the DFL. I think that Amy Klobuchar has been an amazing public servant for years. Like me, she has decided to come back home, and I think that’s a very positive thing,” he added.
Saturday, September 12, Ellison held the “Affording Your Life” roundtable at The Folly in Moorhead, taking the pulse of what’s important to the Western Minnesotan voting demographic.
“We’ve also been talking about a range of prices. Food, clothing, the price of energy and utility bills. All issues that Moorhead residents have raised,” said Ellison.
Then, on the morning of September 13, Ellison was at the Moorhead DFL office, preparing supporters to knock on doors in favor of the progressive cause.
Above all else, Ellison wants voters to know that he’s both committed to making life more affordable for the average Minnesotan – and pushing back against what he says are the egregious overreaches of the Trump administration.
Ellison is running for a third term against Republican Ron Schutz. He argues Ellison has been “willfully blind” to addressing billions of dollars in fraud.
Schutz’s priorities include supporting law enforcement and protecting consumers and seniors.
Early in person voting and mail in voting begins Friday, September 18 in Minnesota for the November election.
