NORTH DAKOTA (KFGO) – The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services has announced the first West Nile related death in the state this year.
Officials say they were older than 60 and lived in the southwest part of the state.
Twenty-five human West Nile cases have been confirmed in North Dakota in 2026. Last year there were 86 and two deaths.
