FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (KFGO-KBRF) – A public comment session regarding Body-Worn Cameras on police officers will be held on Monday, September 14, 2026 at 6:00 pm in the Fergus Falls City Council Chambers.
The City of Fergus Falls will be equipping all sworn police officers with Body-Worn Cameras. The primary use of these cameras is to capture evidence of arising from police-citizen encounters.
Police Chief Justin Paul says Body-Worn Cameras have been shown to be a valuable tool when used by law enforcement. He says they reduce civil liability and effectively document interactions with the public.
The Body-Worn Camera policy information can be found on the Fergus Falls Police Department website at https://www.fergusfallsmn.gov/police-cameras.
An additional opportunity for public comments regarding Body-Worn Cameras will be held during the regularly scheduled Fergus Falls City Council meeting on Monday, September 21, 2026 at 5:30 pm.
