ALMORA, Minn. (KFGO) – A man was seriously injured after crashing his SUV in Otter Tail County Saturday.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says Alexander Handy, 30, of Eagle Bend was headed east on County Highway 40 when he lost control and veered off the road, hitting multiple road signs and trees before the vehicle was stopped in the ditch.
Witnesses told deputies Handy was driving recklessly at high speeds, the sheriff’s office says alcohol use is suspected to be a factor in the crash.
Handy suffered cuts and trauma to the head and torso, he was taken to Astera Hospital by Parker’s Prairie Ambulance.
The crash is under investigation.
