MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – Moorhead High School celebrated the completion of phase 2 of construction expanding the school with a ribbon cutting celebrating the opening of their new theater complex.
Phase 2 was the final phase of the project, paid for by a bond referendum that was approved by voters in 2019.
Along with the theater, the new expansion features new a 1,050-seat auditorium, new music classrooms, a fine arts gallery, and locker rooms.
The theater’s backstage has also been expanded, including a large workspace and a 31-station hair and makeup room.
Moorhead’s superintendent says the now completed project allows them to use the facility as it was intended.
