Within the four major sports teams in Minnesota there is excitement within the fanbases because of the superstars that are on the roster for each team. The Twins are only a few games out of first place in the American League Central and as I am writing this only one game out of the final Wild Card spot. Byron Buxton is a star on this team and offensively the team is solid. The glaring hole is the shakey bullpen that hopefully General Manager Jeremy Zoll can address before the trade deadline.
Training camp is just around the corner for the Vikings and there are still questions about the final roster when its all said and done. The obvious question is who is going to be the starting quarterback, but I am also curious if Blake Brandel can be a quality starter at center and if Harrison Smith doesn’t come back who is going to give the team depth at safety. Holes that could hinder a superstar like Justin Jefferson from winning a championship.
The winter sports teams also have holes in their roster even though they both had playoff success last year. The Wild are in desperate need of a front line center even though they have three superstars with Karil Kaprisov, Quinn Hughes and Matt Boldy. It is a glaring hole this team has to fill if they want to be a serious contender for a Stanley Cup Championship.
The Timberwolves now that LeBron James signed with the Sixers literally do not have a point guard on their roster. Unless there still is a move to be made or a young player will step up this could be problematic if Anthony Edwards and his teammates want to get ovsr the hump.
There are plenty of superstars in Minnesota. The question is can the whole team succeed unless these glaring holes are filled.
