COURTENAY, N.D. (KFGO) – The North Dakota State Patrol is investigating a deadly head-on crash in Stutsman county killing two people.
The crash happened around 10:15 Friday night on state highway 20 near Courtenay when a 23 year old McHenry man was driving a pickup northbound and speeding when he crossed the center line and hit a southbound pickup head-on.
The McHenry man and a 54 year old Edgely man who was driving the other pickup both died at the scene and investigators say neither driver was wearing a seatbelt.
A passenger from the southbound pickup was wearing her seatbelt, suffered serious injuries, and was taken by ambulance to Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
