ST PAUL (KFGO/Learfield) – The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is expanding its ban on feeding deer and using deer attractants in an effort to slow the spread of chronic wasting disease.
Five counties have been added to the restrictions: Becker, Clearwater, Grant, McLeod and Meeker. That brings the total number of counties under the ban to 37.
Wildlife experts say feeding deer can lead to overcrowding, making it easier for diseases to spread.
