Tabias Walker (Clay Co. Jail)
FARGO (KVRR) — A Moorhead man has changed his pleas in a deadly downtown Fargo assault case last summer.
20-year-old Tabias Walker pleaded guilty to manslaughter and aggravated assault in the death of 55-year-old John Pilcher of Fargo.
Police say Pilcher was attacked by Walker in the 300 block of North Broadway on August 3.
It was on the same night as two separate fatal shootings in the city.
Walker was initially jailed for aggravated assault but charges were upgraded after Pilcher died.
A jury trial that was set to start Tuesday has been canceled and a sentencing hearing has yet to be scheduled.
