(KFAN/KFGO) – The FM RedHawks and Winnipeg Goldeyes played game four of the series Monday night to finish the 7 game homestand at Newmna Outdoor Field. The Goldeyes would score a run in the top of the 2nd inning off a RBI single by T.J. Schofield-Sam.
In the bottom of the 2nd inning, Goldeyes’ starting pitcher Arij Fransen would leave the game due to some pitching discomfort. The Goldeyes would bring in Weston Lombard to take over. He would only last 2/3 of an inning as the RedHawks took him for 6 more runs. Brian Fuentes hit a solo homerun, Dillon Thomas had a two run double, and Jesus Lujano, Jose Sermo, and Colby Wilkerson would each have runs batted in in the bottom of the 2nd.
In the 3rd inning, the RedHawks bats would continue to smoke. Dillon Thomas would hit a two run homerun to make it 11-1 RedHawks.
In the top of the 4th inning, the game was suspended due to rain. This game will pick up where it left off on Sept 1st when the Goldeyes return to Fargo.
