The primary election is over and conservatives lost. Not only did they lose in the city of Fargo, but they lost in legislative races as well. There’s a couple differences in those losses. The Republican ballot-holders have to run against Democrat legislative candidates this fall, and the individuals that ran against conservatives in city elections don’t. People like Josh Boschee got elected, and he’s the next mayor of Fargo.
I think it’s fair to ask the question, why? The answer is: we all have different reasons. I believe conservatives like Michelle Turnberg live in a different type of conservative world. The kind that believe in social legislations, but not the budget. The type of legislation that divides us even more. And the sort of agenda driven by Donald Trump.
This election seems to indicate that the majority of us are sick of it. And as the polls point out, we’re sick of Donald Trump.
