DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (KFGO) — A Milnor, North Dakota man has been charged with felony reckless driving after the Highway Patrol says he was clocked driving nearly 150 mph along Highway 2 east of Devils Lake.
A report from the patrol says a trooper was driving east around 6 Friday evening when they saw a vehicle driving westbound at a high rate of speed. Radar clocked the vehicle at 143 mph. The trooper turned on their lights and siren, and pursued the vehicle for 7 miles before the driver stopped.
25-year-old Eric Johnson was arrested. He has been charged with felony Fleeing and felony reckless endangerment.
Johnson is facing an attempted murder charge from a separate incident. Last June, Johnson allegedly fired several shots at a man who was trying to rescue a cat from Johnson. A felony jury trial is scheduled for August.
