ELLIOT, N.D. (KFGO) — Five people were seriously hurt when a UTV crashed in rural Ransom County Friday evening.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the side-by-side was driving down a minimum maintenance road about 2.5 miles southwest of Elliot around 6:30 p.m. The road was muddy and snow-covered. The driver lost control and the UTV went into the ditch and rolled.
The driver, a 36-year-old Lisbon man, was seriously hurt and flown to a Fargo hospital. A 29-year-old Lisbon woman, a 20-year-old Valley City woman, and two boys from Lisbon were brought to CHI Lisbon Health with serious injuries.
The driver was arrested for DUI. The Highway Patrol is investigating.
