ERHARD, Minn. (KFGO-KBRF) An Erhard man was arrested early Friday morning for fleeing from law enforcement in a stolen UTV.
Otter Tail County deputies received a report around 2:30 a.m. Friday of a UTV being stolen from a garage. The suspect was later identified as 44-year-old Justin Sheridan. While responding, a deputy saw the vehicle driving on a county highway.
The deputy tried to stop the UTV, but the driver drove into the ditch and fled.
After a chase, Sheridan voluntarily surrendered around 3:30 a.m. Deputies found a bent fork jammed in the ignition, which they believe was used to start the vehicle.
Sheridan has been charged with fleeing from law enforcement and tampering with a motor vehicle.
