Confirmed measles cases in North Dakota as of Feb. 18, 2026
BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – A seventh case of the measles has been confirmed in North Dakota.
The cases include six in Pembina County in northeastern North Dakota and one in Williams County in northwestern North Dakota. However, exposure locations span across several other counties.
The Department of Health and Human Services says two people have been hospitalized with the highly contagious respiratory virus.
Five of the cases involve adults over age 19. One is between the ages of 5 and 19, and one is a child under age 5.
Health officials say people contagious with measles visited numerous public locations throughout the state during their infectious period, including schools and businesses in Cavalier, Colfax, Grand Forks, Fargo and Walhalla.
Anyone who was at those locations could have been exposed. You can view all of the exposure locations here.
So far, 2 cases of the measles have been confirmed in Minnesota, and 6 cases have been confirmed in South Dakota.
