FARGO (KFGO) – A Moorhead man is facing three counts of mail theft in Cass County, North Dakota.
The Sheriff’s Office says 50-year-old Michael Hunter was arrested last Thursday after a months-long investigation.
In August of last year, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and Sheriff’s Office began working together to investigate suspected mail theft in rural Cass County. Investigators determined the thefts began as early as April of last year.
Around 250 people in Cass and Ransom Counties were victims of the theft.
The Sheriff’s Office says Hunter was arrested on a federal warrant.
