Troy Johnson (Clay County Jail)
MOORHEAD (KFGO/KVRR) — A Moorhead man has been arrested for making bomb threats to multiple businesses.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 59-year-old Troy Johnson made a threat to Clay County Social Services on an employee’s voicemail.
The employee recognized the voice and did not believe the threat was credible. Sheriff Mark Empting says Johnson had made two more threats to social services and to local businesses in the Fargo–Moorhead area.
Johnson refused to answer the door and yelled at officers who went to his home.
A search warrant was granted and executed by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Moorhead Police, and a K9 unit from Fargo.
Johnson was taken into custody without incident and is being held on a charge of felony threats of violence.
