JAMESTOWN, N.D. (KFGO) – A 16-year-old boy has died after being hit by a semi in Jamestown.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says it happened just after 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 21 at 4th Street Northeast and 5th Avenue in Jamestown.
Troopers and Jamestown Police say a semi-truck pulling a side dump trailer was turning west onto 4th Street Northeast from southbound 5th Avenue Northeast.
A pedestrian, who was walking south across 4th Street Northeast, was hit by the semi and died from his injuries.
The pedestrian is a 16-year-old boy from Jamestown.
The driver of the semi is a 36-year-old man from Lehr, North Dakota. He was not hurt.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol, Jamestown Police Department, Stutsman County Sheriff’s Department, Jamestown Ambulance and Jamestown Fire Department responded to the scene.
The Highway Patrol crash report indicates charges against the driver are under investigation.
