LEEDS, N.D. (KFGO) – The Highway Patrol has released the name of a man from Leeds who died following a rear-end crash with a semi.
The crash report says 72-year-old Daniel Stave was driving west on U.S. Highway 2 about six miles east of Leeds Monday morning. A semi loaded with corn driven by 34-year-old Kelby Houchin of Fessenden turned onto the highway and was accelerating when the pickup rear-ended the semi.
Stave was taken to a Devils Lake hospital where he died. Houchin was not hurt.
The Highway Patrol is investigating possible charges against Houchin.
